The New Orleans Haitian Relief Task Force is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit New Orleans-based organization dedicated to directing relief support to Haiti. The organization was formed less than 24-hours following the devastating January 12 earthquake. The Task Force has been engaged in a multi-phased crisis response effort. Within two days of the earthquake the organization launched a broad Public Service campaign on television and radio targeting both the general and Hispanic markets. The Task Force has since hosted two major concert events at the House of Blues and the New Orleans Convention Center featuring Grammy-Award winner and New Orleans native, Irvin Mayfield and the world renowned Haitian band, Tabou Combo, respectively.
